Charles Ramseur (Parliamentarian)
   

I am a native of High Point, North Carolina where I attended public schools and graduated from William Penn High School. I joined the High Point Police Department in 1967 and was voted Officer of the year in 1967 and 1989. I worked in all parts of the police department and was a field training officer for twenty-five years. I was voted “Man of the Year” service award in 1990 and 2000. I was given the “Community Hero” award by the United Way in 1998. I was given the Veterans of Foreign Wars award in 1983 and also received a letter from Congress for hard work and dedication in Law Enforcement. I am an active member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, N.C. and serve as Assistant Superintendent, Men’s Adult Sunday School Teacher and President of Laymen’s League Ministry. I have a wife Bonnie and Daughter Kim. I have received a number of citations on the federal, state and local level throughout my career in Law Enforcement. Currently, I am retired from Law Enforcement and have my own painting and decorating business which I have operated for forty-six years. I am sixty-eight years old and thanks be to God for it all.
