It is my pleasure to serve the Furniture City Chapter of The North State Law Enforcement Officer's Association.
Please feel free to email me your questions and comments.
I am originally from Hartford, Connecticut and came to North Carolina to attend North Carolina A & T State University where I obtained my B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Transportation in 1990. My career at the Guilford County Sheriff's Office began in June of '93 when I was hired as a Detention Services Officer and worked in the High Point Detention Center. I then went to Basic Law Enforcement Training at G.T.C.C. in 1997 after which I worked in the Field Operations Division on Patrol in the southern part of the county. In 2003, I transferred to the Civil Division where I worked out of the High Point Office serving warrants, domestic violence and other civil papers. Also in 2003, I obtained my Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate and became a state certified instructor. In March of '07, I was promoted to Corporal and assigned to be a school resource officer in which I still hold that position at Southern Guilford Middle School in Greensboro. At Southern Middle I am the Co-Coordinator of the S.A.V.E. group and the S.M.A.R.T.. I have a wife Christa and two sons Jalen 15 and Juwan 13 that keep me busy. I am also a member of Love and Faith Church in Greensboro. |
